Everyone loves a parade and everyone loves Mardi Gras and everyone loves dogs so what could be better than combining all three of these things? Mardi Gras started on Tuesday and one of the cutest events is the Mardi Paws parade.

According to the Mardi-Paws Facebook page, “For 28 years, Louisiana’s famed Mardi Paws™ Parade has come at the tail end of Carnival season, always rolling on the Sunday AFTER Fat Tuesday. The Super Krewe for K9s features over 400 canines and their companions in costumes, tens of thousands of smiling spectators throughout Historic Downtown Covington and is truly a paw-rade with a purpose.”
