Nurse Samantha Hurley often volunteers as an emergency room travel nurse across the world. Maya, her black Goldendoodle, usually travels with her and keeps her company. But when Samantha volunteered as a COVID-19 front line nurse in badly-hit New York City, she had no option but to leave Maya at her parents’ house.

For more than a month, Maya stayed back at Samantha’s parents’ house. The dog was well-cared-for and comfortable, but she badly pined for her beloved mom every single day. Poor Samantha was equally heartbroken as she missed her little baby, but the thought of reuniting with her dog helped her stay optimistic.

In this video, we see Samantha finally returning home after a month. Maya smells her presence even before she steps out of the car, and the excited pooch comes running into the front yard. Maya immediately jumps into her mom’s arms as she greets her, and the emotional pair blissfully get lost in each other’s embrace!
