The Dogue de Bordeaux, also known as the French Mastiff or Bordeauxdog, is a large and powerful breed of dog. They are a brachycephalic mastiff breed, meaning they have a short muzzle and broad head. The Dogue de Bordeaux is an ancient breed that has been around for centuries, originally bred in the 12th century as a hunting dog.

Today, the Dogue de Bordeaux is still used for hunting, but they are also popularly kept as family pets. They are loyal and self-assured dogs who form strong bonds with their owners and families. Males can reach up to 27 inches high and 110 pounds in weight, with a short eye-catching coat that is usually fawn or mahogany in color.
