Izzy and Lenore were two dogs who never would have guessed that they would end up on an unexpected journey together. They had both come from different backgrounds and yet fate had brought them together at the same animal shelter.
Izzy was a husky, who had been neglected by her previous owners and was left in terrible conditions when she was rescued by the shelter. Her fur was matted, she was underweight and malnourished, and she was wracked with anxiety – but despite it all, she still showed kindness to those around her.
Lenore was a lab who had been surrendered to the shelter after her elderly owners could no longer take care of her. She was well taken care of but lonely; she longed for the companionship of other animals which is why when Izzy arrived, the two quickly became fast friends.
After being at the shelter for a few weeks, it seemed like Izzy and Lenore had run out of hope for finding their forever home. That is, until one day an unlikely hero stepped in: an older gentleman named Mr. Jones who lived alone in a small cabin on the outskirts of town. He decided to adopt both dogs as his own (and soon three cats too!)
Mr. Jones didn’t have much money, but he looked past that because he knew that this was meant to be; that these two dogs were meant to be together for many years to come. He made sure that Izzy and Lenore had everything they needed – plenty of food, warm blankets, comfortable beds – but most importantly he gave them love every single day and made sure they knew they were safe with him.
It wasn’t long before Izzy and Lenore settled into their lives with Mr. Jones…and then came their unexpected journey! Through Mr. Jones’ efforts they began traveling all over the country; visiting new places each week while learning about different cultures and landscapes along the way! It seemed like there wasn’t anything these two couldn’t handle between their newfound courage – thanks to Mr Jones- and their unbreakable bond; they truly knew no bounds!
