Giorgi Berejiani from Tbilisi, Georgia, faced a heart-wrenching experience when his beloved dog, Jorge, went missing three years ago. Despite the passing of time, Giorgi never lost hope, searching tirelessly for his best friend. As days turned into months and months into years, his commitment to finding Jorge remained steadfast.
Finally, Giorgi’s perseverance paid off. Local business staff spotted a stray dog fitting Jorge’s description and reached out to Giorgi, just in case it was him. Although the city had tagged the dog as a stray, the workers felt it resembled Jorge closely.
Giorgi hurried to the location and approached the dog lying quietly by a tree. As seen in the video below, Giorgi calls out Jorge’s name—and in a touching response, the dog begins to cry with joy. In that instant, Giorgi knew his search was over. They had found each other after three long years, and the emotions of that moment overflowed, with both of them visibly moved to be together again.
“I’m so glad,” Giorgi shared. “I have never seen him so happy.”
