A Georgia ICU nurse is being hailed a hero after adopting her patient’s dog. Nurse Kimberly Still cared for the dog’s owner in her final days. And as she got to know the patient’s family, Kimberly learned just how much Jax the Chihuahua had meant to her.
When the owner passed away, she tracked the dog down at an animal shelter outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The original plan was to make sure Jax would get a good home. But when the nurse took him home, she knew she had to keep him. Now she has two dogs, and they get along like it was meant to be!
