For brand-new police K9s, swearing-in ceremonies are a major thing. Ideally, they ought to be. While everyone in attendance at these occasions is a human, the dog being acknowledged just views it as a regular day off from work.
The swearing-in ceremony for K9 Ghost at the Glynn County Police Department in Georgia was amusing for him. He merely wanted to play, not really listen to anything he agreed to! People all over the world fell in love with the event after watching a viral video of it.

K9 Ghost, a Belgian Malinois, just finished his police dog training. Prior to working with Officer Garza, he spent months honing his talents at Highland Canine Training, LLC in North Carolina. The canine and human teams acquired teamwork skills.
K9 Ghost is currently a recognized employee of the Glynn County Police Department. The department organized a swearing-in ceremony for him as a token of appreciation for finishing his training. Ghost should have taken it more seriously, but he didn’t.

The ceremony’s video shows Chief of Police Battiste reciting the oath while knelt next to the dog. He asked the dog to repeat after him, but Ghost obviously was unable to. Instead, he smelt the documents to learn more before switching to play. Ghost tried to play with Battiste by climbing up on him, chewing on his fingers, and asking for belly rubs as he went on reading the paper.
Battiste asked Ghost to bark at the conclusion of the ceremony to confirm that he had comprehended the oath, but Ghost continued to play. So a dog in the crowd started barking for Ghost. Ghost was sidetracked during the entire ceremony, but the police still chuckled at his antics. In the end, it’s difficult to not to find the adorable pup amusing.

Ghost was not in “work mode” at the ceremony, so the police were happy to allow him to play. However, the video received a lot of negative feedback, with some people worried that he was under-trained or stressed out. However, Ghost underwent all required training, so he merits a chance to unwind and be silly. His conduct at the ceremony is not representative of how he will perform at work.
Fortunately, the majority of individuals thought the video was cute and funny. It’s endearing to see that even the roughest and smartest canines still possess typical puppy exuberance.
Congratulations, Ghost! Thank you for your service, and for entertaining thousands of humans on the internet!
