The busy life of Brynnie, a 2-year-old mini goldendoodle mix, was abruptly put on hold when she tore ligaments in both of her rear legs.
Brynnie’s injuries prohibited her from being able to stand or walk comfortably, just like when a person tears their ACL. Her parents took her to a veterinarian to learn about possible treatments since they were desperate to help her get back to being playful.

Brynnie’s mother, Christiana Yebra, told The Dodo, “We wanted to make sure she had a full life ahead of playing and running, so we elected to have tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) surgery.”
Although Brynnie’s two knee operations were successful, the recuperation process was challenging.

We attempted to maintain our composure and concentrate on recuperating for months, according to Yerba. Brynnie’s veterinarian advised against her engaging in any physical activity for a month following surgery to aid in the healing process.
Brynnie’s veterinarian eventually gave her the all-clear to take 5- to 10-minute walks, but with Texas’s summer temperatures reaching record highs, her parents chose to take her to a nearby dog-friendly establishment with air conditioning so she could rehearse walking.

Home Depot became Brynnie’s go-to place because of its large aisles and ample space for movement.
Every weekend, we started walking around the aisles to stay cool and gain muscle, according to Yerba.
One day as he was browsing the store, Brynnie caught Maddie, the manager, in her eyes.

We jokingly say that Brynnie has to say hello once you establish eye contact with her, Yerba said. And that’s what took place! ”
Brynnie caught Maddie’s attention and hurried over to her to meet her new friend. Maddie greeted us with a smile, and Brynnie strolled right into her office, according to Yerba.
Maddie was told in detail by Brynnie’s parents about the dog’s previous operations and the numerous laps she had completed around the shop to heal from her wounds.

After hearing Brynnie’s tale, Maddie, who had fallen in love with her right away, informed Yerba that she wanted to buy the adorable dog a unique gift. She chose a member of the month apron for Brynnie and took the family to a private room.
Maddie retrieved a child’s apron that Yerba and I were confident she could wear as the “Pawssociate of the Month.”

Yerba put the apron on Brynnie, which fit over the dog’s body like a cape for a superhero, and quickly took a photo. Brynnie’s smile is the broadest it has ever been in the picture.
The gift from the store manager meant more to the family than she realized. Maddie’s efforts that day were more more significant than a very adorable apron, according to Yerba.

Although Brynnie is still recovering, he is becoming stronger every day. She may soon finish her rehab laps at Home Depot, but she will always be an honorary Pawssociate, and her family is especially grateful to the employee who made her feel at home.
