Four thousand beagles were rescued from the research company Envigo, shocking the entire world. Now that everyone has adjusted to their new lives, they can all unwind and enjoy being dogs.

Along with 128 other dogs, Dory was one of the animals rescued from the Envigo breeding facility and taken up by Triangle Beagle Rescue. She brought her eight puppies, and she was all about taking care of them. Her rescuers swiftly came to the conclusion that she had only ever experienced life as a mother.

According to Amy Adams, Dory’s foster mother, “at age 3, from a facility that used her to create kids, Dory doesn’t really know how to ‘dog’.” She is concentrating on caring for the infants. I can’t wait for the day when she can resume being a normal, playful girl and household friend after she is released from that position.

Dory’s foster family has been attempting to teach her how to be a dog as she acclimates to her foster home. Her foster mother decided to get her some toys after she stole a wool dryer ball from the dryer and began playing with it. A green plush alligator toy captured Dory’s heart right away, and she wouldn’t let go.

When it was time to dine, Dory brought her new alligator toy with her and tried to enjoy her meal without setting it down. She began carrying it everywhere she went.

Having never had a toy before, Dory was perplexed as to why she couldn’t eat and play with her toy at the same time. Although she is still learning, the process has fortunately been incredibly lovely and cute, and her foster family loves seeing her come out of her shell more and more each day.

Adams described her as a “lovely, snug, quiet girl but so lively and full of life.” Her tail is constantly wagging.

Dory still travels with her toy alligator and other toys since she is enamored with them. She is eager to play with even more toys as her new life progresses.

While Dory isn’t quite ready for adoption, the rescue already has a long list of people who are eager to take one of the Envigo beagles home once she is. She will soon be able to unwind in her new home and spend the rest of her days playing and simply being a dog.

Adams gushed, “She’s such a sweet, caring girl.” “I’m hoping she finds a partner that she can spend her days with and who will allow her to play! ”
