The KC Pet Project in Kansas City, Missouri, employs TikTok user @katie.and.the.snoots, who was dealing with one of the most reserved dogs she had ever encountered around nine months prior. This TikToker chose to spend more time with Sasha because Sasha was a severely undersocialized dog when it was brought into the shelter. Until she was adopted, that is.

Sad news is that this TikToker is now back in the shelter working with Sasha. Due to unanticipated health difficulties, the person who adopted her had to give her up. Our hearts, ugh. Now, this employee is attempting a reconnect. Look into it.

@katie.and.the.snoots Sasha is back at the shelter. Her owner has some unexpected health issues that forced them to surrender this shy girl. I’m happy to see her again but I am also sad to see her back. She needs someone that will be patient with her and help her gain confidence. #animalshelter #shelterdog #shydog #scareddog #animalshelterworker #shelterworker #shelterlife #shelterdogs #shelterdogsoftiktok #shelterdogsrock #shelterdogsneedlove ♬ When I Look At You (Instrumental) – BLVKSHP

Poor Sasha, oh no! She being back at the shelter makes us feel terrible. She’s obviously very terrified. It’s terrible that Sasha had to come back since her owner experienced unforeseen health problems. Whatever socialization advancements she may have achieved in the past appear to have all been lost.

@edgedadx commented, “She’s got the sweetest, saddest eyes.” She’s so confused about why she’s back in the shelter. It won’t be forever, we promise! @shihtzulover2021 added, “This breaks my heart! No telling what that poor dog has been through.” Right? And this goes for all animals in the shelter. Our hearts always shatter every time we see their sad faces.

“Poor baby, hoping for a new fabulous home soon,” said @samssparkles1. It’s the only thing we want in this world! Sasha needs someone who is patient so she can gain confidence. Plus, she needs someone to give her all the hot dogs her heart desires! If you’re interested in bringing Sasha home, check out the KC Pet Project website for more information.
