In “Bigg Boss 16,” actor Shalin Bhanot said he wouldn’t be alive now if it weren’t for the dog he saved during the pandemic.
In the video, a visibly moved Shalin tells Priyanka how she found an abandoned dog in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar and saved it. He continues by saying that without his dog, whom he affectionately refers to as Swag, he would not have been able to survive the pandemic.

He admits to being at a dark period of his life when the pandemic began when Priyanka prods him further to share his experience. He sent an ambulance and made plans for the dog to be taken home during the first lockdown when the regulations were rigorous.
Shalin added that although he had never been an animal lover before, he had grown lonely living alone in his large Mumbai home. As a result, he grew delighted to have a new family member and discovered that his new pet dog was in terrible health when brought home.

The actor described how he used the internet to research every little aspect and felt that it was his duty to treat his dog and raise him independently. He claimed that the dog saved him in several ways.
