The Niagara SPCA’s staff members are experts in crafting messages on animal adoption. Each dog or cat looking for a home has a long list of endearing qualities. They have mastered the art of spinning even the difficulties that their new families may encounter. Prior to Ralphie’s arrival.

“We don’t actually have too many nice things to say so we’re just going to come out with it,” the Niagara SPCA wrote in a Facebook post about Ralphie. “At first glance, he’s an adorable highly sought-after, young dog. People should be banging down our doors for him. We promise you, that won’t be the case. Ralphie is a terror in a somewhat small package.”

Regrettably, it appears that Ralphie never had any structure or limitations in the past, and as a result, he now anticipates getting whatever he wants whenever he wants it. He is exempt from the regulations. Ralphie has previously lived in two different homes, so his friends at the shelter (actually, servants) are eager to place him in a devoted household that will remain, but they also want to be upfront about who Ralphie truly is.

“Lots of people withheld Ralphie’s less-than-desirable traits, but we’re going to tell you all about it,” the Niagara SPCA wrote. “He’s a whole jerk — not even half. Everything belongs to him. If you dare test his ability to possess THE things, wrath will ensue.”

Naturally, Ralphie is receiving training at the shelter and is progressing well. He’s working on it, but he still feels entitled to do whatever he wants because he’s so adorable. His ideal residence or kingdom must exist somewhere, and the team members assisting him are committed to ensuring that he is prepared for success when he eventually finds it.

“The ideal home for Ralphie is the Mother of Dragons, or an adult home free of other animals, with an owner who will lead him calmly and sternly — putting up with zero crap,” the Niagara SPCA wrote. “On the bright side, Ralphie’s previous trainer will provide his new adopters with the training tools they believe he needs to be successful in a home.”

Ralphie has relied solely on his good looks to get by in life so far, but he’s attempting to pick up good manners. Though it will be a fight, he will succeed, and when he does, one lucky household will be blessed with the best king, er, dog.
