After tragedy struck for this bonded pair of shelter dogs, they ended up at @lucyshoperescuerehab in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s been 17 months since they first arrived at the shelter, and–sadly–they’ve had little interest from potential adoptions. But that’s all about to change!

Fellow Phoenix pet rescue @oneloveaz shared a video of the pair on their TikTok account in hopes of getting them noticed. With the pups’ sweet demeanors and even sweeter faces, we have a feeling it just might work!

Our hearts are simply breaking for these precious dogs! They seem so loving and playful, though we can only imagine how stressed they are, too. Living in a kennel for so long can’t be easy–even with your best friend by your side.

“Praying these sweet babies get their forever home together,” wrote commenter @lorimorg4. “They are all each other has.” Exactly! Just like @oneloveaz wrote in the video’s caption, it can be hard to get pairs of pets adopted–but for these two, it’s essential that they stay together.

If you want to help these fur babies find a family, you can follow in @susanhere1’s footsteps. She commented, “Posting this to over 50  rescuers and rescues I have on Instagram. Everybody repost and share.” You never know just who’s going to see your post!

As tear-jerking as their story is, these two have an entire team of fans and followers cheering them on. Their rescue even made them their very own Instagram account–@ana_and_meeko! Although the purpose of the profile is to help them find a home, we’re sure that’s where we’ll get updates from their fur-ever home, too. We have a feeling that their happily ever after is just around the corner!
