Layla, a 2-year-old golden retriever, is the center of attention wherever she goes.
Layla was found dirty and alone wandering around a gas station parking lot by an animal rescue. They were unsure of her past or how long she had been there, but they were confident that they could help her have a brighter future.

A few weeks later, the former stray discovered her forever home, launched her modeling career, and brought happiness to millions of people. Her new mother is her biggest supporter.
Layla’s mother, Rebecca Crews said, “I began taking Layla to work with me at the PetSmart home office shortly after adopting her, and she was amazing. She’s the perfect desk companion.”
During Layla’s search for a naturally attractive dog, Crews, a member of the company’s social media team, filled in.

“[She] had a natural talent for it and that’s why I started volunteering her for more photo shoots,” Crews said. “She gets a treat in between every take, gets to play with a toy during outfit changes and, of course, gets lots of pets from the team.”
When Crews were returning from work, they chanced to meet Layla. She did not intend to expand her family, but destiny had other ideas.

“I passed a brand-new-looking rescue I’d never heard of before called Heidi’s Village in Phoenix, Arizona,” Crews said. “When I was taken back to the kennels, I immediately noticed [Layla].”
Crews discussed the matter with her husband before moving forward with the adoption. She kept seeing Layla and was confident that she would fit in just fine. When they first met, Layla appeared to concur.

Layla now spends her days supporting her mother at work.
Many of the company’s advertisements have featured her images, but Crews has big hopes for her adorable kid.
“Layla is so special, we hope to get her certified as a therapy dog,” Crews said. “We absolutely adore her.”
