Many people spend the day shopping at the CF Shops at Don Mills in Toronto, Canada. They have recently also evolved into a site of grieving for one lonely goose whose lover will never come back.
The male goose’s partner has been returning to wait on the roof of the store every day since the female goose was hit by a nearby car in hopes of running into his love again. Shoppers’; hearts have been crushed for weeks by these persistent sightings.
Colin Tobias, a customer, told Global News, “He looks depressed”. And he misses his wife. He is gazing and wandering around.

The widower has been seen on several roofs around the mall, including by employees of the adjoining LCBO wine and spirits store who observed the goose’s dejected demeanor.
Sayad Rasulnezhad, an employee of the LCBO, told Global News that the man was “depressed and sorrowful”; since “he lost his partner.” I cried.
This broken-hearted goose occasionally takes breaks to go scavenging. Sometimes they would vanish for a few hours, return, and wait again.

Geese mate for life, according to wildlife experts, making this sighting even more heartbreaking. Both customers and employees are hoping that once the goose has through his period of grief, he’ll find someone else in the neighborhood to adore.
Tobias stated, “I think he should be looking for a mate, and we should be helping him.”
The goose will soon find a new companion and be able to return to the wild with a little more time, hope, and patience.
