Chewbaka has always been fond of the water, but he never imagined using his pastime to participate in a recognized dock-diving competition. The English bulldog, who is 4 years old, is currently among the breed and age group’s most distinguished canines. He claims, however, that he is only doing it for pleasure, as evidenced by the amusing mid-jump pictures taken at each competition.
In order to keep Chewy occupied throughout the epidemic, Chewy’s mother Michelle Kinder invented the pastime of dock diving.

I purchased a little agility set for Chewy from Amazon, Kinder said. It had a tunnel, jumps, and weave poles. He was a natural when we started practicing with the agility equipment in the backyard.
Later, Kinder took Chewy to their neighborhood lake for training and recreation.

According to Kinder, “He hopped straight in with no problem.”

When she discovered Chewy’s talent, she enrolled him right away in agility classes with a dock where they could practice for competitions and swim lessons.
Before he was ready to participate, Chewy spent months honing his dock jumping technique. His favorite thing to do these days is belly-flop into the ocean.
When we get close to a facility, “he starts vocalizing,” said Kinder. “He’s only started barking and lunging to go on the dock this year, and this is when I know he’s quite thrilled,” the owner said.

She continued, “He can’t wait to get in the water and will swirl in circles, bark, and leap to retrieve his bumper.”
Chewy has so far acquired the distinction of Dock Junior. He normally participates in the senior open division and is now pursuing his Dock Junior Advanced title.
Kinder gives Chewy something he enjoys to commemorate each competition, win or lose.
We’ll give him a special treat to honor his efforts, she remarked. He will receive a new chew bone in addition to some new toys.

Due to Chewy’s example, even Little Chick, the younger brother, is now joining in the fun.
The active bulldog will resume competing this July after completing his recovery from surgery. Kinder attributes her own development to Chewy’s enthusiasm for the game.
Kinder stated, “Chewy has brought so much joy to our lives. He has demonstrated to me the joy of teamwork and the fantastic people I have met thanks to my involvement in canine sports. If he had not been there, this would not have happened.
