A woman went inside an underground pipe after hearing whining emanating from it. She then noticed two large eyes glaring back at her.
A mother dog and her young puppies were all snuggled up together.
Catalina reappeared after returning home to buy some lunch. When she placed bread at the pipe entrance, the mother dog quickly came to get it.
Although she walked with a significant limp, she was hungry and only wanted to defend her babies.

In order to give the family a temporary home, the mother gathered the puppies and cleaned out an old hen coop. Alma had a dislocated hip, was underweight, and required medication after a visit to the veterinarian.
The mother will have hip surgery, and when the puppies are old enough, they will be adopted. This dog family get a second chance because of Catalina! 🙂
